WHERE WE STARTED

FOHR DESIGN STUDIO was founded in 2012 by four Ryerson Interior Design grads, who each brought to the table their own fresh perspectives on design. The studio was set up as a collaborative, with a combined experience of 30 years in the interior design industry that took the team across North America and Europe.

In recent years as our team's composition has evolved, we remain dedicated to creating dynamic, innovative and functional spaces as a collective. Our portfolio continues to expand; encompassing additional design fields including lifestyle and working towards our own product line.

THE TEAM

RANIA ISMAIL CHERRY

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER & OWNER

BID, RYERSON UNIVERSITY

Rania’s 15 years of experience has varied from working with a prominent architectural firm, focusing on commercial design, to a New York City design firm, specializing in large scale projects for the media and entertainment industry. She left her position as senior designer and project lead at a boutique design firm in Toronto in 2014 to take lead of FOHR DESIGN STUDIO and propel it to where it is today.

Rania is a high-end residential and restaurant design pro with a passion for collaboration and customer service. She is always on the go, but while in the office she often subjects her staff to her newest hip hop playlists.

HEATHER LEWIS

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

BID, RYERSON UNIVERSITY | ARIDO | IDC | NCIDQ

Heather’s 10 years of experience in the Interior Design industry were spent at a residential firm specializing in high-end design. Heather is passionate about creating spaces with fine aesthetic details, and qualified to take on every stage of design projects ranging from small to large-scale. Outside of spatial design, she is also a branding and lifestyle guru.  Sometimes you will catch her with her baby daughter in tote.

MELANIE HO

JUNIOR DESIGNER

BID, RYERSON UNIVERSITY

After completing her internship at FOHR DESIGN STUDIO, Melanie became the team’s full-time Junior Designer. Her mastery of aesthetics both traditional and modern are applied in conceptual hand sketching in addition to meticulous computer renderings. When she’s not holding down the office, Melanie can be found gaming in her lady cave with her pet cat.
